As an admirer of your work, I think this is one of your "softer" images. I think it's creatively beautiful.
By shinyranger on Tuesday, 4 December 2007 7:06 PM
I love to see Photoshop used for more than just stitiching images together and throwing filters around. Excellent Work.

Mother nature is hot
Awesome!
By supaflymama on Wednesday, 5 December 2007 3:40 AM
I think I feel like a kindred spirit to "Mother Nature". But seriously, this is the BEST work I have seen in this contest, it is so creative, and serene, not like all the others that are creepy and weird.
Mother Nature

cool!
in control
By jesskat on Wednesday, 5 December 2007 6:11 AM
She looks as if she has it all in control of the many things going on around her. As in nature there is always so much going on at once yet the world still goes on and is in balance. It's great!
At peace...
By supahotmama on Wednesday, 5 December 2007 7:03 AM
Thank you *skettii*I am at peace, my million children are all asleep. I would like a print of this picture, I love it!
Kudos

Very artistic and great painting skills. Like it!
Great illustration
By MariannaH on Wednesday, 5 December 2007 12:16 PM
I love it! Who cares if the kids don't have faces? Who are these people anyway, who post such silly questions? Have they even seen the other entries? If they think yours is haunting and creepy....then go through the rest of the entries "damagecontrol"
Seriously.....this is great!

I think Shinyranger's right. It's nice to see something else besides cut and copy. I really like the new stuff, and the unique feeling. It isn't like anything else you see out there. :D #9

The quote of your MySpace page: "go here and vote for me! http://www.crestock.com/blog/design/contest2007/entry.aspx?id=5564"

I knew something was wrong with this one. There's no way this one could be that good, especially to get so many votes so fast for this picture.
Rules have been broken?
By opafaf on Thursday, 6 December 2007 4:21 AM
I don't see anywhere in the rules where it says you cannot ask people to vote for your entry....do you?
sounds like...
By Skettii on Thursday, 6 December 2007 5:41 AM
Someone is a poor loser sounds like and doesn't have the audacity to post under their own username.
I love the whole composition

The serenity and patience of the woman,I wish we could present that air of love and tenderness to our children. It is pretty good opafaf.
I'm going to put that link on myspace page :)
By damagecontrol on Thursday, 6 December 2007 6:31 PM
I would say plug your design away, get as many people to vote for that design as you can. I'm going to put that link on my page :)

This reminded me of some of the great art that I saw in Norway. I love that anyone anywhere in the world at any period of time can relate to it
Hauntingly Beautiful

Beautiful. Where did the kids leave their faces? I've never seen anything like that in Croatia.
I must comment

this looks great! different from your other stuff. i really like it. ( i like your other stuff too)
By bchriste1213 on Friday, 7 December 2007 3:11 AM
has anyone noticed that a lot of the other ones use the same images? lame!
By The_Eluryahn on Friday, 7 December 2007 4:50 AM
Some of these other pics aren't that great. They just change a few tiny details and then submit them, and it's not even worth the small effort it takes. Then there are ones like this, where you know it took them a while to actually do it. There isn't any of this cut and copy and overlay stuff, this is cool.

Please read into the contest first, and have a longer than two seconds - or any - look at the other contestants' entries. Because what you are saying is total BS.

Just to keep it fair =)
What isn't fair
By soniacolleen on Friday, 7 December 2007 4:02 PM
I have taken the time to carefully look at the other pictures. This picture shows extraordinary talent. It also lets us know that the artist doesn't have a warped distrubed mind. It isn't gruesome, bloody, gory, or creepy. It doesn't send the message of dissatisfaction with, or hatred of life and the world. It doesn't depict unhappiness of self. Most (notice I said MOST, not all) of the other entrances give me that distinct impression. I don't understand them or relate to them. This one I not only understand, but I can relate to it. A person must vote for what makes them feel right, and if most of those other pictures make a person feel right then they need a head doctor.
By DKM on Friday, 7 December 2007 6:59 PM
Absolutely Beautiful!!! Unique!!! Very worthwhile viewing. WOW!!
Wonderful
By odia on Friday, 7 December 2007 9:03 PM
I also have spent some time viewing the other entries and it seems like a lot of them are from the same "artist" (I wouldn’t really call them artists from their work). There is a repeatable theme in them, the same owl, the same girl and the same hallway. This one is unique and original and beautiful, not a rushed job. I think that if anyone has a problem with all the votes it is receiving it is because they are not receiving any for their "art". I would also like a print, this is something I would hang in my home with small children, a lot of the other entries I would never let my children see and I wish I didn’t have to see them. Hats off to the ARTIST of this entry
By bchriste1213 on Saturday, 8 December 2007 3:15 PM
i did read the contest rules. but what i'm saying is that the images ARE all the same. he's taken this, and altered it, like it says you can, and made something completely different looking. i think its way better than the other entries because its unique. the others all look the same. way to go!
By pejot on Saturday, 8 December 2007 6:48 PM
Let's hope judges don't read that black pr BS.

Well. . .
By The_Eluryahn on Sunday, 9 December 2007 12:42 AM
I did look at the others. Some are really good, but some are just not. I saw some that i liked, and i commented. However, I think it may the fact that everyone seemed to want to use the house in their pictures that made them all seem the same. For instance, there is one of s gingerbread house that I enjoyed, and one with the oriental woman's face as different colors that was cool. It's not most of the others, just some, that are repetitive with the stock photos.

And thanks. :D
Thanks all!
By opafaf on Tuesday, 11 December 2007 4:02 PM
Thanks for everyone that voted!
ORIENTAL?
By Correction on Wednesday, 12 December 2007 2:25 PM
Hey The_Eluryahn, it's not Oriental... the correct term is ASIAN... you dumb fuck! With no education at all, you shouldn't even be allowed to vote.
Your the moron
By Skettii on Thursday, 13 December 2007 3:26 PM
Actually you are the moron. Oriental and Asian or completely different terms. They are meant to describe a region not a race. While the Orient includes people with Eastern Asian ancestry it is actually referring to people from the area of Middle East, Egypt and the rest of the Arabian countries. Where as Asian refers to people of only Southern Asian ancestry.

So before you start point fingers of racial prejudice and ignorance maybe you should school yourself.
You are correct Sketti
By soniacolleen on Thursday, 13 December 2007 5:35 PM
Thumbs up for you Sketti.
