To avoid misunderstandings, I would like to state that I don't promote in any way phone sex. With safe sex I mean that you can't get AIDS or other sexual transmitted diseases by a phone call. My main point here is that you should always fantasize and dream, because that's the best way of living your own reality and not the one that the others want you to. This is just my opinion.
Thanks!

Sexy
By fabadelic on Thursday, 6 December 2007 9:46 PM
I like the warm red glow ... very sexy, and the shadows are good, though the bit of the phone cord snaking over the butt and out of the picture is a bit flat at that point. A tiny hint of light on the cord there, or shadow under it would have made all the difference I think.
By Daniel_Wiedemann on Friday, 7 December 2007 1:58 PM
Very nice... I agree with fabadelic.. nice warm, red, glow!! :)
By xnoiz on Friday, 7 December 2007 4:29 PM
Hi fabadelic .I have to say that the phone cord over the butt is realistic if you see the original full size image that I have. I have paid a lot of attention to light and shade in this picture. Thanks for the comment though, I appreciate it!
By fabadelic on Friday, 7 December 2007 9:21 PM
I did look at your large version when I made the comment and have had another good look. And yes, I see that you have paid a LOT of attention to the light and shadows, that's very clear, which is why it's all the more obvious that just at that particular point it flattens out a bit ... but I know I'm splitting hairs and you have done a great job all in all. Please don't take this as a negative criticism. This is a great piece of art and I like it very much!
By xnoiz on Saturday, 8 December 2007 8:43 AM
No no I never took it as a negative critisism! Critisism is a valuable thing if it comes from people with good intentions, it makes me get better everytime!
Excellent!!!

Wow this is excellent!!! There many good illustrations out there but they all look the same.

By dfhens on Tuesday, 11 December 2007 9:33 AM
Amazing image, this is my favorite!! I agree with Vader, there are some great illustrations made by very skilled people but they don't have something new to offer. You'll find thousands of them on the internet.
This is sooo original and so photographic, it does stand out from the rest.Good luck!!!
By dfhens on Tuesday, 11 December 2007 9:39 AM
Oh, forgot to say that your point is great (don't stop fantasizing).
It's important to keep dreaming no matter what happens in life!
And the phone for me means the passage to another reality, it's like connecting to your subconscious, your dream world!
Good luck

It's going to be hard though cause everybody is impresed by a lot of colors and crowded pics and not by more simple compositions (although more profound and meaningful).

I don't see the "fantastic-factor" you're all talking about...

Nice job on the cable and the shading of it,
but that's all...

It's _too_ red for me, and I simply don't like it, nor do I want this picture as the winner of round 4

How can ppl say this is amazing ?
I thought this was a photoshop contest, where ppl could show off their photoshop skills. xnoiz can't have used much more then 30 on this image, and if he has OMG.

Ok i have to say that the idea and composision of the image is ok, but in terms of originality and skills this is nothing, he has simply taken the phone placed it in the image of the female body, drawn a black line and given it some shadow and then add a short text.... and then just to make it a bit more "creative" aded a layer filled with red and chosen "hue" or "color" in the blending option...

How the "H**L" this image can get so many votes is beyound me.
By werdit on Friday, 14 December 2007 2:59 AM
I don't see how exactly this is good. This image is insanely simple, and since it's so simple it should have something very good in it. Well, I can't exactly find anything good in it. The parts that you actually added(the cord and your text) are the worst parts of the image. The cord looks like you just learned how to use the pen tool, and I'm sorry Times New Roman? Hah. It's sad that anyone even voted for this, it makes me question their lack of understanding of design.
get out and vote!!!!!!!!
By stugriffith on Friday, 14 December 2007 5:14 PM
as with other entries, we are all spending too much time on these few while other excellent entries are stagnating with 7-8 votes. really good ones. let's make this round a competition and less of a runaway train like the last round. remember, the piece that caused the most controversy won, and i think that's sad (not that it is not a good piece). get out there and vote, otherwise you end up with a bush as your leader.
Great job
By Serman on Friday, 14 December 2007 6:44 PM
Stop bad critisism and enjoy the contest. God, what people can do for a MAc!!!
Simple?
By annaS on Friday, 14 December 2007 7:15 PM
Do you thing 'simple' is not art or doesn't show skill?
Well maybe Frank Stella for example is untallented
:
http://www.artnet.com/artwork/424483617/369/frank-stella-moultonville-from-eccentric-polygons.html

Well people who say that obviously don't have any kind or art education. I'm an artist myself and don't think this is an illustration contest. This is well composed, meaningful and intense!
By nectec on Friday, 14 December 2007 9:12 PM
Blah blah blah winner blah blah......
By pejot on Friday, 14 December 2007 9:22 PM
As an educated artist and person you should say "in my opinion this is well composed" because in my opinion it's not. Simplicity in one's hands becoms art, in other's hands stay just a phone cord on woman's ass. Things are not so "obvious" as you think.
By annaS on Friday, 14 December 2007 10:09 PM
Pejot THIS IS my opinion, and everybody in this contest is expressing their own. I respect everybody's opinion and as you can see, all kinds of people judge differently. This is absolutely normal.
So here it goes again. In MY OPINION this is well composed, meaningful and intense!

Actually, I've used the pen tool a million times with great success and sorry to say that the font is Lucida fax! I'm sure you have no idea of Photoshop or Illustrator, but it's never to late to learn!

Get over the hip
By jessy6 on Saturday, 15 December 2007 4:35 PM
Being different is sooo important nowdays. Everybody in design and illustration follow the fashion and make identical creations that have nothing new to offer. I can see in this contest that this kind of images get the majority of the votes which is sad. Get over the hip images and vote an original. I believe that your creation is the one that should win and hope the judges will appreciate it.

By albatros on Sunday, 16 December 2007 2:44 AM
I hope you win this, you've got a winner piece. I mean there a lot of extremely beautiful images in this contest like floatin guitars and trees of all kinds but no originality. You find tons of images like them all over the internet and even in this contest. I haven't seen something that looks like your piece though!!!
wow
By Feder Skamt on Sunday, 16 December 2007 3:01 AM
agree with above this image is just the best so far. This one might win because its the most original in the contest. Also might win because it's the best executed image. I personally hate all other works because them all sucks so badly. I think this one might win because I'm an expert in graphic design and never saw something that good as this one. I'm crying looking the perfection of this piece. I hope judges might be that good art critic as I do, because if they don't select this one they might be blind.
Winner!
By Scott Jonson on Sunday, 16 December 2007 3:12 AM
Hi I'm an art director in some well known international design agency. We saw your piece in our studio at New York and we think you could really fix in our team, I'll be looking forward your work, this is from far the best graphic design piece in the net and should be awarded, this contest is even small for you!

Dude any chance to get a print of this? I really would like to have a 30x20 @ 300dpi at my living room. I think you are the Picasso of the graphic design. If you don't win, I'll buy you a mac because a talent like you deserves the best.

"Picasso" Knew How Light Source's Work... FOOLS!?!?!
By NeonWinter on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 4:03 AM
I want to congratulate you on your work and how far it's gotten you.
Very "Arty", Not my style tho & I don't see the best application.

But honestly I think some of these people are on crack (or your boosting votes for the Mac).
They have been quick to praise the uniqueness in this piece, but have overlooked some faults.
I’m going to list them but I want you to know I haven’t seen an entry yet that I haven’t been able to pick fault’s in. I’m not listing them on your entry because they are abundant, just because so many people seem to be missing them.

1. You have a light source on the foreground side of her hip creating a highlight that doesn’t portray itself on the shading of the cord.

2. The cord as well as her ass becomes quite "Flat" as there is another absent light source brightening the top of her “cheek” in the foreground.

3. "Call Me" shadow is cast at the wrong angle for the intended light source to achieve. It would be more skewered to the left.

4. Where the coiled cord goes into the "handle" of the phone the light on it doesn’t contain even traces of the red ambience that surrounds it.

5. Nice work on the shadow fade as the cord moves away from her body, gives it a great realistic 3D feel, but as it goes up to the left you can still see red between the cord and the shadow long after it would be touching her skin.

6. Where the "Handle" of the phone sits on the base there’s a very odd absent light source directly below it. (what its sitting on)

7. And the final obvious light source mistake is the light reflections on the phone in no way match up with the rest of the image. Not your fault, had to work with what you were given by CreStock but still I had to list it.

Like I said congrats on a nice piece of work, and I don't mean to offend, honestly, I don't even have a entry in this round so who am I to talk =P

I only wanted to point out these people need to calm down a little and look carefully before they start making quite outrageous comments & praising it, if they praise everything so easily what’s the comment worth in the first place?

Oh, and If your boosting votes & I just waiting my time trying to point things out to people that don't exist. You should have you teeth kicked in, I mean that in the nicest possible way =]

Love the inspirado this gives me btw,
Hope you do well.

All the best.
By xnoiz on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 8:45 AM
Hi Neonwinter!I never said that my image was flawless, but I have to tell you that you're in many ways mistaken. It's not 100% your fault because the image that you can see here, even in the large version that I've posted , it's not very clear and there many little details that are not visible. I would like to know your occupation though, since you're trying to be an 'excpert' here! I honestly don't know what to think of your 'critique' and your intentions, because you've confused me with your bitter\sweet post!
Finally I would like to state that I'm not responsible for people's comments and you souldn't call them FOOLS or say things like " they are on crack". Respect everybody's opinion, even the most naive one.
Thansk!
By James Bond on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 9:38 AM
"Finally I would like to state that I'm not responsible for people's comments"

Of course you're not :)))
Where is the skill and work put into this?
By travel4fun on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 1:45 PM
Perhaps if you had not posted to other websites for votes, you would only have a few votes like the others not begging for votes to get bumped unfairly up the list.

I hope the judges really look at the work and skill put into this piece when placing their votes and pick the person that deserves to win.
By xnoiz on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 9:28 PM
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah....................
By Blah on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 10:46 PM
This is a basic concept with a moderately clean execution, but I feel it doesn't deserve to win. I'm picking this is another case of myspace/devart friends.

There is little for me to critique that hasn't already been done (comments on shadow above), and honestly, it's also because there is very little in it altogether.

The "call me" cheapens the piece and could've been far better communicated with a little thought in a picture. Assuming you've heard "one picture = 1000 words"? Use your skill and imagination.
honestly
By RANDOM on Thursday, 20 December 2007 2:13 AM
How the hell did u get 108 votes???
i'm not an expert, but...
By nikos on Friday, 21 December 2007 1:22 PM
i believe that this is an excellent idea... for general marketting and promoting a product. i am tottally irrelevant with graphic design, i just speak over my taste. there are better submissions out there and, even if you win, that doesn't mean you're the best in this contest.

you should try working on an advertisement company though and i wish you make a career because you're ought to be doing this. but let's face it, this image is really too simple and many things seem disconnected (in my unexperienced eyes).

if this got you a job, then don't care about anything else, you'll be able to buy your own mac later ;-)

best regards
nikos/athens/greece
