Closer look

Here's a closer look http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?image=treeoflifehigp0.jpg
And in case you're wondering I used the tree, the small seedling from the guys hand and the female body shot make part of the background although its fairly unrecognizable. Comments welcome.
Cool

What image did you use, *laugh out loud*, just kidding. Well done, love the fish and the coral, good detail on the big image. Is that 2 small orange butterflies above the tree?
By pandi on Tuesday, 11 December 2007 3:44 AM
Why yes, yes it is. Thanks for noting some of the finer parts. Will likely be putting up a image breakdown a bit later on. (once I get home)

i like this alot i see like the story of how the tree came to life with the fish and underwater and then it sprouting int he earth..i just like how its done really has a good impact when you first see it small.

Simple but nice and harmonic in tones. Nice.
By DollarBill on Wednesday, 12 December 2007 10:14 PM
I agree the simple blend of tones in nice. Soft and dreamy like. Got my vote.

I like the bubbles in the sky add a bit of depth to an otherwise mostly flat peice.
Peaceful
By One Million'th Guest on Thursday, 13 December 2007 6:30 AM
I like it. As DollarBill said nice soft tones. The grass and atmospheric backdrop of the trees and faint mountain blend well together, helps bring the tree out as the focal point.

Not bad at all, liking the join between land and sea. Smooth.
Love it!

The soft rainbow is a great touch too. More realistic than a lot of those comical flat vector rainbows most seem to be doing. Pretty.
By mtaliana on Thursday, 13 December 2007 9:54 PM
i like this its got a real happy feel to it like rebirthing or something. Nice job mate!
By rainbowbrite on Thursday, 13 December 2007 10:13 PM
i like this one. Simple. there isn't too much going on in it and the colours create a happy feel.
By pandi on Thursday, 13 December 2007 11:47 PM
Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Like most have stated it is simple looking although there is subtle detail but overall I wanted an uncluttered simple and spacious design. As I figured most would be doing busy looking pieces. I had stated earlier I was going to post a breakdown, I've had very little time to do so as of late but will definitely do so tonight (Aus time).

Here's a link to a breakdown image for those interested. Plus it has some close up crops. http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=r4breakdownrc7.jpg

The fish bubbles are cool in the blow ups, nice overall. Probably could have added another something in the sky though.
By TimBuckToo on Friday, 14 December 2007 11:49 PM

Just wonderful what youve created. The original tree pic was one of mine and to see what youve done with it is just amazing. Really beautiful and interesting final result.

Oh man....it really is a nice image but why central composition?!!! And you did vertical and horizontal center.
By pandi on Monday, 17 December 2007 11:04 AM
Thanks nixon, and well the central comp was fully intended for perfect balance to help create the calm nature of the piece. A off center image although different and a little more confronting would not have given the image the same softness I felt. I suppose it came off as boring rather than balanced harmony.
