The viewers eye is drawn through the composition by the textural tapestry of the stripes and richness of the skin tones. Lighting adds drama to a simple family moment that could have easily been overlooked. Although often playing a secondary role, this intimate view focuses our attention on the importance of a sibling's impact on the mother-infant relationship. The beauty of the photo and it's message speaks to the "big sister" in all of us!
