Its poetic - absolute ART created by nature - recreated by the Photographer. You keep gazing - you go deeper in the backdrop! Truly amazing!

I hit enter to go down a line and it submitted the form. What kind of comment box is this? .. I was going to say, I don't know what kind of photographer you are. You may have a lot of good ones, just like this, and are extremely capable and competent, but everything about this shot works. Very nicely done.

Thank you very much for your comments. In fact basically I like street photography, mostly people oriented. What I mean to say that, whenever I see any 'frame' which attracts me , I click. I do not like jugglery in photography. Last year (2006) when I visited the famous Pushkar Cattle Fair, fortunately, one day I got this shot since such a sky in this desert region is extremely rare.

Thank you for your appreciation, but I do not agree with your proposal. For any selection there must be a system/rules and everybody should respect and abide by that.

once again I've come across what i see as a very nice photo, good composition, great aesthetics, but it really doesn't relate to the subject matter of the contest... how is this at all referring to the "speed demon" topic??
what a speed!!!!

I just want to say that, on sloping sand dunes when the camels run with their huge masses, they really run at demonic speed ! In fact the photograph was taken at a very high shutter-speed to freeze the shot. So, I do feel that my photograph goes well with the theme. However, someone may differ since it is a matter of interpretation as also he/she may have no idea about camels and their run on loose sand dunes. Thanks a lot 'td'.

I don't know who u r, but definitely u r not judging the contest. The camels rune very fast and the photographer definitely get a very little time to capture the shot.Look at the dust and the body language of the camels, those are really moving fast. Please look at the shot for sometime and I suppose u must realize that u have quoted the wrong thing. This shot are among those which cannot create by any photographer second time. Please give the value it deserves. Thanks .
just one moment

it needs amazing skill to freeze such moments ..
and dangerous too if u come very near them while they are running like mad to win the race!

TD is right!!!! The camels don't look like fairy tale demons, they just look like running camels!!!! Jokes apart, I think this is an excellent picture with a well controlled tricky exposure, beautiful composition and perfect sense of timing.

SPEED DEMON is a figurative speech...camels can sprint in the dessert, but are not built to run or they don't love running ..... THEY WERE MADE TO STAY LONG HOURS OR EVEN DAYS WITHOUT DRINKING WATER. Their body is not like the cheetah or the grayhounds, they have this humps and long legs. In this image they're running, but, because they're being chased or they're being rounded up.
excellent
