At first i saw only the distinctive military boot pattern which has become so ingrained in modern society, then i saw the location and the dog, which threw me. But the banjo really pulled it all into focus. In general, it drew me in and the colors made it generally pleasing. Well done.

It is amazing how subjective art can be and is. Of all the photos shown in this article, this is my least favorite because of the heavy saturation and contrast that golfzilla describes and because of that, a feeling of conflict instead of nostalgia. The dog looks tense and the man is not comfortable with his head seemingly unsupported perpendicular to his body. Sorry, I don't like it at all.
Unreal

To me it doesn't look real 100% like I would like. It would have been more realistic if I see a little grass on the boot or even mud. His clothes don't look nice for a ground sitting, although they are for such environment, but they are too prestine. Maybe the man is uncomfortable not wanting to dirty the clothes.
