Title:
Vote Obama
My 'Vote Obama' poster was heavily influenced by the style of Shepard Fairey's 'Obey' Obama Poster but with a slightly stronger Socialist slant.

Good one Olie! I just hope you aren't furthering the republican bullsh*t meme of Obama being "socialist"!

Maybe he is a communist or even a muslim, you never know what second life people have....Obama even sounds kind of islamic.....
I think he's gay, if he is left or right wing, he is still gay and so on...
(Had to drop the typical nonsense on this one, who really takes american politics of that kind serious, it is game...nothing else, but costs more money than then producing the tonight shows...both of them, all of them,...sad!)

It's more of poking fun at the Republicans for being so scared of Obama being a Socialist for suggesting programs that have socialist overtones, i.e.,universal health care.
I'm Canadian so we already imbrace Universal Health Care etc., (well most of us :)) among other things and I wouldn't consider myself a Socialist by any definition nor would the majority of Canadians.

I love this, the cool retro feel, and his rock star pose. Simple, effective, graphic.

Why does he have to be half black, couldn't he be half chinese or japanese....so that the easy influencable girlies with 18 would vote for the father person McCain and not the "Superdreaming Hero" Obama coming close to the daily daydreaming girls with their "idea" that "the world could be peaceful with a hero to change it all" and their dreams of "the right man in their life" where it is known they always chose the wrong one, that is proven fact!!!
The whole issue is only based on "black is cool" like "black music is cool" and what do teenies like "black music is cool" so "Obama is cool"...all based on emotions and feeling charisma and not security in real ways not based on a dream. And a dream is always only a dream, whether it is not real or the way to achieve it will end in a desaster, only because girlie like individuals promote "black is cool" and "daddy sucks"...
The Full Bull! With a "cool black" in the race, the women should not be allowed to vote even, to avoid the majority of "emotional votes" not based on real political issues and interests but the moment, the feeling of the moment, "a cool bloack prez", negligent against what it takes to be a President of the largest country on our Planet....

The fact that the U.S. just finished 8 years of Neo-Conservative rule based on the alternative to "Cool" doesn't help nor support your argument.
Actually the President of the Largest Country on the planet is Dmitry Medvedev of Russia (technically). :)

You got my vote.
Do you do silk screening or other type of printing?

Not myself personally but occationally I've done projects that need silk screening for one reason or another. I do have one limited edition print (aviation art) printed using the Stochastic Printing process of a Halifax Bomber (WW2). It was/is being used to raise money for an effort to raise a Halifax of the bottom of the ocean off of Scotland/Ireland and signed by 11 of the crew members who flew on it over the course of the war (end of shameless plug). :)

Great job. Rather than his name at the bottom, I would have put 'sociaism" as in "VOTE SOCIALISM"
