Would like to know what uploads are pending approval so we don't duplicate them

It would be nice to see how many views are happening, would help us in critiquing our key words to be more eff;)ective.

I've noticed that I've had some downloads of my photos (!!), but I can't seem to tell which ones. Am I missing something? (Entirely possible; it's late and I'm tired!) If not, that would be a helpful feature. I'd like to know *which* of my pics are doing well.

Will we be able to rate and/or comment on any of the photos?

Where did the "50 most downloaded" feature go?

And the question still stands.....

How can I edit the keywords for my images? I want to add some more. Is that possible?

Also I think it would be useful for us photographers to see how many times an image was acutally downloaded (i mean not only my own pictures but any of them). Is there anything against displaying such thing?

Thanks a lot

Petra

First of all we need to apologize for our overdue reply to the forum.
The reason why we removed the 50 most downloaded was simply because we do not to focus on the downloads now. For the time being we are making the fundament for what we later will market towards customers. As we have mentioned in our newsletters, the official launch will happen spring next year (2006), so until then one should not expect too many sales. We do welcome any downloads prior to the official launch, but our focus is now on uploading. We hope this answers your question.

Thanks. And didn't mean to com on to you too hard, I just am a believer of fast and good communication.

I understand your position, and I guess the feature will appear later on, when the launch is closing.

There are two reasons you need to make it such, that we can see what, and how often a picture is downloaded.

One; We like to see what is selling and how often it is selling.

Two; Keeping these number a secret will only lead to speculations about your intentions.

I think the rating feature can create friction and put  the focus in the personal field.  I think the editors of the site are the only ones that should comment and that is done when they REJECT the photos.

I do think, all comment should be positive and I did not like the feature of worst photo. It denigrates the photographer...

I recommend adding other categories like "most creative", "wow" and innovative, etc..  Always using positive adjectives to promote competition.

hi all

i think Walkiria it right :) it dose fallout quite negative for photographer and the idea of ˝moste creative image˝ is great:D

I don't mind the "worst photo" feature -- though of course I hope none of my rejected pics ever end up there! I think it provides useful information as to why certain photos aren't appropriate as stock. I'm not in this to be coddled; I hope to learn and grow, and criticism is part of that process.

Now, if the photographers of the rejected photos were identified, I'd agree that was demoralizing. But simply showing the anonymous pic as an example of what not to do.... To me, knowing what not to do is every bit as instructive as browsing the gallery of accepted photos.

FEATURES::)

1-The worst thing about the site is how slow it is.

- this probably has effect in the low participation in the forums

1a- I see no quick responses from the moderators; I hope  this improves after  April.

2- We need FTP, slow uploads makes it unefficient

3- More editing features and stats, including stats form other photographers

4- The feature to edit uploads keywords, titles, descriptions

5- Probably the ability to delete a picture from the database. If we have a better us efor it and it is not dowloaded, we should eb able to remove it. A procedure for that could be designed that is fair to both parties.

The best thing is that the design is not busy.

Walkiria  says it very well. I really hope the administration deal with these issues!

One thing I do miss - in principle - is the way out.  Seems to me there is no way I can withdraw from the site and remove my portfolio...

How about EXIF options? In my portfolio about 700 photos with already filled keywords and description in EXIF. It would be very convenient, if your site could read this format and make autofilling necessary fields at upload.
