Hi

I think that the categories of the images must be improved and reached with new one.
A small example. If i want to search for illustrations (raster or vectors) the existing categories do not cover my needs. I have to search by keywords for the specific image i look but i can not see the entire collection with illustrated works.

An other point is that it would be very useful to view the dls and views for every image (i mean in public)  and not only in our account.
I understand that the site is new but it is very important for the contributor to see which works sale better in this place.

It  would be nice to share our opinion for the above suggestions:)

Hi tasosk,

Thanks for your feedback, we're always open to suggestions that can improving the site. When it comes to categories I guess these can always be broken down into further detail, and there will always be some images that defy categorisation. We do agree however that there should be a category for illustrations, so we'll get this added.

Regarding views and downloads you can currently see how many views an image has had below the preview image, but not below the thumbnails. We are not sure if it would be an advantage to have this below the thumbnails as well. Viewing of downloads is another feature that will be added at some point.

Hi,

I would like to make two suggestion toos. I did my first uploads today and one was of a puzzle. I couldn't find any appropriate idea, so I picked "business concept" (in a sense of solving problems in business). I think one concept that might be added was "challenge". A category for "entertainment" would be nice too, perhaps "game".

One feature that's a must is remembering the last (or few of them) category used, so if I'm uploading some images e.g. of people, I can always have a one click category selection (cause the last one used also applies to the next one).

'Remembering categories' is one of the benefits of using one of our bulk upload features, and we strongly recommend trying it if you haven't done so already.
If uploading via zip files the process is not much different/difficult from uploading individual images apart from having to zip them first.

Apologies for the late response to Adelaide's suggestions for category improvements.
We believe there might be some potential for improvement in the VISUAL IDEAS & CONCEPTS categories in general, not necessarily in the shape of lots of additional sub-categories, but rather a fine-tuning of what we've already have.
We think it is good to have a few of these more subjective categories that can be interpreted creatively, but on the other hand they shouldn't be so vague that 'anything goes' – that would defy the purpose.
A 'Challenges and problem solving' category might be useful here – any more views and opinions on this?

Hi there,

I don't remember if you have this yet, but "power and energy" would be another interesting concept.I have used it for a geyser bursting steam. "Success" and "Happiness" are two others that come to my mind.

One question: since we can't edit categories, what happens when you create categories in which our current approved files would fit?

Hi Adelaide,
When adding new categories there are principally two options; the simplest would be to leave everything as it is and start using the new category from the time it is created.
The other, better option, and the one that we have chosen to use so far, is to transfer any existing images that we feel should have been in the new category. This can be a rather laborious and timeconsuming task, which is why we don't want to undertake such changes until we are 100% sure we are doing the right thing.
