OK. Since we're all talking about it...First, let's trust the judges have this thing sorted out. That said, as of now, take your score and number of votes. Record it.

Next, through tomorrow, post updates every five votes to determine how your piece has been voted on since you recorded your base score. My entry -- -- was a 4.2 with 42 votes at Wednesday close. This morning? A 3.8 with 48 votes. What does this mean? My last 6 votes have all been 1's. Niiiiiiiiiiiice . . . .

Who can top that? Six straight 1's?

Could be the grading system.

I mean, I've seen exact same thing happening with my entry - a fine, promissing start with constant dowhnhill ever since (average barely above 1 for last 15 votes - kinda cruel for the scale that goes from 1 to 10?)

Anyway, just wanted to "comfort" you ;)

Still, it was a great fun to participate - may the best one win!

Oh, but I have no worries re: this contest. I just thought it would be fun to track who has the most consistent "1" votes. I think, in that the judges continue to comment on this topic, there is a great deal of humor in watching people tie concrete shoes to our entries in the hopes that it will sink to the bottom of the standings. As well, I see one entry at the top of one of the later pages that has over 60 votes, a 6+ rating, where other entries in the pages preceding are just reaching the 40 mark. As well, the other entries on that page are between 10-20.

I know what you guys mean. I can't believe people are so blatantly skewing the votes.

Lets hope the Crestock team can weed a lot of the crap out, and that the judges will do whatever it takes for the best piece to win.

There's some nice work in this contest guys.

With regards to the contest I have to say that Week 4 as a whole is alot weaker than the past three weeks with regards to the amount of high quality images that have been uploaded. When it comes to the voting practices of people on-line the first couple of votes are usually high as people vote for themselves and also have their friends vote (you would think, especially if they really want that awesome computer with the 2 deliciously gorgeous monitors) and those artist that put up their work will probably vote the other contestants lower so as to try to have a sporting chance against the higher quality work. I'm pretty sure the judges know what they are doing especially with regards to the last 3 weeks entries. But be self critical guys. It's easy to bitch about how you're not doing well but is your stuff among the best there is? I'm sure that alot of you have great work so just wait til the polls come in and if you don't win don't sweat it. It at least gets your creative juices flowing.

Oh, I by no means suggest I am even in the running. I was only discussing the fact that it's funny to watch your piece get 10 straight 1's, in a spike, and then the normal voters come in with the 3s, 5s, the odd 8, 4, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 4, 2, 3, 7, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 . . . I am, for sure, my harshest critic. This forum post is not "bitching" , . . it's "having fun" as stated on the secondary title under New Contest. And the faith in our judges has been stated both here and in our feedback typically falling on pp 15-16 of the acutal Week 4 contest.

With that, no one has beaten by 6 straight "1's" . . . certainly someone can beat it!!!
