This picture was rejected by: It appears that your image is out of focus.

For me that's ok. But I don't agree with this reason just because this image is as much in focus as it can be. It was shoot underwater using a 16mm fisheye nikkor.
Water is about 800 times thicker than air and also have a lot more "dust" in suspension.
That's the main reason for always shooting as close of possible from the subject.
That's why i use a 16mm fish eye to shoot such large subjects as wrecks and big reef scenics.

This kind of images as I understand always tend to look like above water images with fog (Not so pin sharp as we like them) but I guess no one is expecting to get them as sharp as some close up of a flower.

What do you think??

You are right that this image is not out of focus, it is in fact a very nice photo. The problem with this photo (this goes for a lot of your diving photos) is that it was originally captured on film, then scanned, and submitted to us in a very high resolution. This particular photo was submitted with a resolution of 5472 x 3590 pixels, and it goes without saying, that when our inspectors view this at 100% size, it's not going to look very sharp. Therefore, I would suggest that ahead of submitting images such as this one, you could consider down-sizing the image somewhat, in the case of the discussed image, a width of 4000 pixels should make the image work better at 100%, without any noticeable loss of detail.

In general, anyone who feel that an image of theirs was obviously judged incorrectly by our inspectors, should e-mail us at help@crestock.com. Though we strive to monitor the work of our inspectors, we also want to hear from you if clearly erroneous reviews have been made.
