Attention: New Forum in Progress

Unfortunately, our current forum software is causing us some problems, so we have decided to turn off the posting capabilities - for now. We decided to develop our very own forum to get it just right - and it will be up and running again towards the end of May.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Until the new forum is available, you can still browse and read the old forums, but unfortunately not post new messages.

Thank you so much for your patience!

Model release forms
Posted in Newbies on 14. February 2007 by Becky_Stead

Hi, i am going to upload some portraits of myself and i as wondering if i still needed to include a model release form if so do i need to sign one then scan it to upload it? Soz for the dumb questions.

RE: Model release forms
Hi Becky,
Not a bad question at all, and the answer is yes, please supply a model release even if the photos are of yourself. Unless you are a personal friend of our image inspectors, there's no way for them to know that the person in the photo is the photographer, so even if it is a pure formality, please attach a modelrelease. You can scan it or just photograph it if you don't have a scanner, it doesn't have to be perfect quality, as long as the text and signatures are readable.

I've attached a copy of our Modelrelease form here, if you need it.
