Hi,
I am new on this site but very sorry to say that I am quiet frustrated after seeing the image rejections on some of my good images. What others having experience about this? I will also like to include some examples which are given below. Some rejected images are good selling images on other site. The reasons of rejecting are far away from get understood even after lot of cool & broadminded thinking. I strongly believe this is very discouraging too.

Hi

I would like to see the comments before I give you my personal opinion, because the images are so small and when I try to follow the link it says it has timed out!

It would make it easier if you cut/paste the reasons for rejection for each image.

Well I am giving external links to the image because I suspect my rejected images will not be accessible to other users. Well I am not giving all files since it is very time consuming. But some images are accepted on big site like Dreamstime but they are rejected on this site.

been getting lots of rejection lately too.
perhaps u could make a 100% view on cropped area
of those images rejected due to technical aspects.
those can be due to lighting, noise, blur etc.

i got mine rejected mostly on composition, even when
they are accepted and sell on other sites.

don't give up, just upload more :D

Rejections are something we all go through on every site. You can find different images of mine on each site because they all have different priorities. Linking to other micros that have accepted an image really doesn't mean anything.

Micros are getting flooded with so many of the same tiring images. So many photographers not able to come up with their own ideas just attempt to copy what they see has been accepted. I'm not saying you are doing this only that there are literally thousands of images of this type out there.

What you must do is make yours stand out from the rest because it's only going to get harder to be competitive in this market rather than easier. Things have changed.

I agree with Manicblu on this one, you should not spend too much time thinking of these rejections, use the comments and feelings to go out and take new photos. In your own mind, try to prove them wrong!

A quick comment on the rejected images above:
First of all I should say that these were borderline cases, but there were some technical issues. Noise is often an issue, particularly with smaller-than-SLR sensor sizes, several of the rejected images here seem to have rather heavy noise-reduction filtering, either in post-processing or in-camera, and this does wash away a lot of detail.

The eye image is a great photo too, very well lit, and one that I would certainly be happy to have in a frame on my wall, but unfortunately, there is a little bit of camera-shake. This obviously isn't so much that it is visible in the thumbnails above, but if I did print it out to put it on my wall, I would be a little bit dissappointed with the lack of detail.

The argument that we reject a lot of bestsellers, is one that we hear fairly often, but it is a problematic argument, particularly when it comes to rejections due to technical quality.
The eye image above would without a doubt sell hundreds of times, but it would be harder to quantify what percentage of those customers were satisfied with the quality. Customers who are dissatisfied, or who find our technical quality to be too variable for their liking, will eventually vote with their feet and go somewhere else.

We can never promise to be right 100% of the time when it comes to image evaluations, but we do try to be as open and fair about it as we possibly can.

I´m happy to see that I´m not alone with rejections... :hehe:

But I understand Crestock, my camera it´s not very very good.

I will by another. Till that happens I try and try... preference with well illuminated images for low noise.
