Hello.
I've just had a bunch of images rejected on the grounds of over/under exposure. (They've all been accepted elsewhere). Anyhow, I have them all as RAW files or 200mb+ scans and therefore they are correctable.
What I want to know is, is it worth tweaking them and re-submitting or was my rejection just a nice way of saying "sorry, but we've got loads like these/they're not good enough and we don't want them?
Has anyone ever resubmitted a rejected file and had it accepted?
Thanks foer any advice.
David.
P.S. I quite like your high rejection rate. It makes me determined to come up with at least one image good enough for you.
RE: resubmission
David,
Its a great idea to edit your rejected pictures and resubmit them. Quite a few rejection reasons are also intended to have the possibility of resubmission once re-editing has been completed, though this has not been properly implemented yet.
Hope that helps,
Regards,
The inspection team

RE: resubmission
Josh DK, I've been interested in the answer to this too. But your two sentences seem to contradict eachother. First you say to try editing and re-submitting, but then you say the procedure for this hasn't been implemented yet. So is it possible to do this, or not? If so, how does one go about re-submitting?

RE: resubmission
:) Fair enough, I can see that may have caused a little confusion, but here's a brief summary...
We are working on greatly improved rejection notes for our system. These notes will also mention which rejection reasons are of a kind that could be fixed, and as such, should be re-uploaded after the issues have been resolved. This could for example be colour balance issues, trademarks, etc.
For the time being, if a rejection note indicates that the only issues with an image are issues that you know could be fixed without removing other qualities from the image, feel free to re-upload if you are able to properly solve the issue.
Hope that answers your query.

RE: resubmission
Thanks, Josh, that helps understand. If re-submitted, should an image state this somewhere so that an inspector knows, or not? Also, I wonder if you could point me to where on Crestock I can find the various size lower limits for each size. (for example, 1800 X 1200 for small, or whatever...)

RE: resubmission
Aardlumens,
I think its best the inspector reviews the picture "as is", so there really shouldn't be any need for any form of notification saying its a resubmission.
In response to your question about size limits:
Quite simply, no images smaller than 4 megapixels can be submitted to Crestock, which would usualy equal 2400 x 1600 pixels. This limit is placed on submission, so smaller images will be blocked.
A "Small" image is 4-6 megapixels
A "Medium" image is 6-11 megapixels
An "Extra Large" image is 11+ megapixels.
