One question remains at this point - how are the images being rated? Can only the reviewers rate the images? I haven't seen the feature to do so...

Hi Badboo,
The rating of the images are part of the evaluation process – in addition to being approved or rejected, each image is given a quality rating. Only evaluators can therefore rate images.
You can still comment on the photos that people have posted as their favourites on their 'My Crestock' pages though!
