Hello,
I've sent a couple of messages to help@crestock.com but received no reply so I'm hoping to get an answer from this forum.
I'm planning on starting an online eCard site which will let anyone on the internet send free eCards. I'd like to buy photography for use in the ecards combined with a personal message which will be sent via email in a low resolution format (it's email after all)
I've read over the license terms and the below section seems to be the most relevant.
The downloaded Content can only be used for graphic or design purposes, and cannot be used or multiplied as independent pieces of photographic art or on items for re-sale such as postcards, posters, t-shirts, mouse mats, mugs and similar.
Based on the above it appears that using the photos for eCards is well within the limitations of the license but I'd love some clarification.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Greg,
Sorry if you didn't receive a reply to your query within a reasonable time, we do try to reply to such questions asap.
If these are free e-cards you clearly won't be re-selling the photos, but point 8 in our Licence agreement says that:
The buyer, or his/her employer cannot transfer the bought, downloaded Content, copies thereof, or the acquired right of use, to a third party.
If you send e-cards with photos, you would technically speaking be transfering copies of the images to others, albeit in a much lower resolution than the original images – this is the issue which would require additional permission from the photographers.
If you already have specific images in mind, a good start would be if you could send the ID numbers or urls for the images in question to hellp@crestock.com and we'll see what we can do.

Thank you for the clarification. I apologize but this raises another question. If you look at paragraph 1 it states explicitly that:
All images are suitable for use both in printed form and electronically, i.e. internet and screen display. Flash animations are suitable for internet and screen display only.
