Everytime I log in a I get an "Unexpected error".
I undersatnd buyers are experiencing the same.
Some people are having difficulty uploading, some buyers cannot download(BIG problem there).

Crestock - It is not at all difficult to develop a datadriven site. I have done far too many of them myself using just about every DB imaginable.

You need to get these issues corrected ASAP - or the buyers are going to stay away and as a result so will the submitters.

I'm not picking on the developers - but buisiness is buisiness and yours has some issues. I suggest you take a close look at the code or obtain a hired gun to correct these issues. (and NO I'm not suggesteing myself - I need 36hrs in a day as it is :w00t: )

A 2nd note:
A minor issue compared to above, but...When entering there is the irritating "this site contains both secure and nonsecure...".
The non secure items are probably site graphics (header etc etc). If you make a copy of those and put them inside your secure code area you will get rid of those messages. I would assume right now the graphics are being referenced in a non-secure area - thus the message.

Yeah, thanks for the feedback, vclements.

There has been some minor technical issues affecting some people. I hadn't heard about it affecting buyers, though it could well be. We appreciate the seriousness of this, even for minor issues that are occurring only in isolated cases.

The cause of this, I believe, is the major increase in traffic because of the competition, and just a general rise in overall traffic. Also, there are hardware upgrades gradually happening as well, which would compound the problem somewhat.

We do have some hired guns, some very good ones I'm told, who are working very hard to smoothen out these issues. There was an almost complete stop in uploads yesterday, but they were able to fix things almost within an hour. I'm confident these issues will soon be resolved, and, rest assured, it is getting attention above all other things right now.

Its also a pain, because theres a million other things that I would like those hired guns to be working on to improve the site. But, you're right, first things first...

As anyone knows, anytime there is a change or upgrade, there are going to be bugs that have to be worked out. Even Microsoft has several versions of everything because it takes awhile to do so. It is only to be expected.

I dont think everyone is having problems. I see many people uploading almost daily. I think Crestock is doing a fabulous job.

Thanks for the response joshDK and Mckown.

Glad to see things are being addressed. This is such a great looking site I think it will be rockin' once the issues are ironed out.
And no I wasn't bitching or whining, just concerned as I was seeing no action.

I am in the software world myself and I am far too aware of development time, bugs, rollout issues etc etc. We just released a new version of our software on Monday - so this week has NOT been any fun in that respect! I am sympathetic and feel the pain!

With regards to the customer download problem - see a post in this forum titled "error occurred". I haven't gone through all the posts - so this may be the only instance of this issue (which could mean a user issue or a connectivity issue).
It might be something for your hired guns to look at in thier copius spare time :D

Yuri - thanks for the pat on the back. It goes without saying your work is amazing.
I hope to be the next "Yuri" :w00t:
