This image was rejected because of "ISO noise". Can't see any noise whatsoever, does not matter how much I magnify it. Please explain:

This image was rejected as "out of focus". Animal is very sharp, the foreground and background are intentionally blurred; that's called selective focus. Please explain:

Sanja,
thanks for your message.
I just had a look at the monkey, because without a number a river is pretty hard to find in the many river submissions.
The monkey has well focussed ears. But the problem is: customers are looking for focussed eyes - and if possible the complete face of an animal. Please don´t take our rejections as rude - take a second look at your images and take them as tips. Many of us inspectors are in the photography business for ages - and without bragging there are indeed things one could learn from us ;).
As I always say: you want to get money from your images - so the quality has to be at its best - and you have to compete with the other people here - e.g. with this image: http://www.crestock.com/image/67891-Squirrel-monkey-eating.aspx

Just as an info: I have recently upgraded my CS suite to 3. I ordered it from the US - that saved me around 2/3 of the total amount. Believe it or not (the list price here in Europe is 1199€ - in the US 599 US$). So it is no student version, etc.
And I received it in less than 48 hours!!!

aw!, you beat me to it!
But here is my take, written while Nataq was quickly posting...
I hope you don't mind - I wasn't the inspector that evaluated your images, but I viewed the files to address your concerns.
Image 482672 - first of all, this file has dead pixels in each colour channel, resulting in tiny red, green and blue squares in different areas throughout the image - which regardless of any other factors, would have been rejected on that alone. The file does have noise throughout the water - it is subtle, but it is there. It is very mottled - it appears that the file has been enlarged somewhat.
Image 482640 is a great picture and in focus, but unfortunately not on the animals eyes, where the focus is most important. The fur around the face is nicely sharp, but the eyes, nose and mouth are much too soft and lacks definition and detail. I would also be concerned about the purple fringing around the highlights in the eyes.
I hope this helps.
