I find it tedious to upload photos, so I decided to stop at 80 and wait... I have a broadband conetion an dI have used both modes of uoloading and it is always a hassle.web page design: I don't think it is necessary to waste so much space to list al lthe photos in our account, just post the ones sold!!! Font: Too small, I think the font shoudl be bigger for ease of use and to be able to find everything quickly. When things were change dI had trouble finding things becuase of this Rejections: I don't complain. Most photographers, including me, are trying to shoot artistic photos, and what the site is looking for is commercial photos with a message and not necessrily artistic but well executed. That is a big endeavor. I think a resoure link to basic commecial photography would be a help, but.. if one needs help, we should not be here... right? Well, it could spice up the community. I do reada lot on my time and I try to apply what I learn and that should be a continuous activity. I am still in kindergarden, so I don't say this from a teacher's point of view MArketing Is the right marketing been done?I have ntp seen the web page in adds or anyhting Excellence can you showcase the best selling photographers??? I have not looked around --- becuas eit is too slow --- but this could be a learning activity at least considering result(most sold), I don't think you should display HOW many, but at least would be able to see what sells in this business. Many of us are new to this.I woudl call "the best seller of the month". I bet everyone would love to see their names there. Style I think the first page should be mre colorful and full of thumbnails. This is a photo selling site.

I agree 100% with what is being said, the font drives me nuts on the forum it is really small. As far as what they accept or not it is a bit confusing because they tend to accept art shots more than stock shots but in any case they said they were doing some advertising in may so we'll give it couple months and wait.fred

Hi Walkiria, apologies for the late response to your post.
We are obviously sorry to hear that a regular contributor like you find the uploading too slow, so we had a chat with our technical people about this. Unfortunately this did not reveal any bottlenecks that can be removed, our server connection speed and bandwidth should in theory exceed the speed of individual users connections.
We are keen to hear if you find the Crestock server slow in comparison to similar upload systems, or if this was more of a general observation you were making.
We do have a couple of general tips regarding bulk uploading, although these may not be relevant to your situation:
– FTP (File Transfer Protocol) will always be faster than uploading zip files since this technology is tailor-made for transferring files.
– The upload speed of your internet connection may not be the same as the download speed: Most internet service providers advertise their download speed, say 1MB or 8MB, but if you read the full specifications you may find that the upload speed offered is significantly lower, perhaps restricted to 128k or 256k. So if your downloads are blazing fast but uploading is slow, your ISP may be the culprit, rather than your upload destination.
– Always make sure that no filesharing applications (for example eDonkey, BitTorrent, DC++) are running when you are uploading.
Regarding your other points, we appreciate your feedback and – as always – we are keen to hear other users opinions on the points raised too.
– We find the fontsize on the main pages of the site reasonable, but we appreciate that the forum type is rather small combined with relatively low contrast between type and background. Leave this with us.
– We are fairly happy about our decision to use a single, large frontpage image (randomly selected from a collection of our favourite images), but also get your point about the need to see more images when you first enter the site. This, as well as a highlights/bestsellers page are ideas that we will take into account when we do the next major site update.
We hope this addresses at least some of the issues you raised.
Best wishes,
The Crestock team

I have to say that I find the upload via FTP very fast. Not sure if it has anything to do with my connection, but I use Filezilla for transferring the files through to the site and then via bulk upload, I find it very easy and fast to use, especially since it remembers the last categories you entered. Compaired to other sites I won't say that Crestock is the fastest but most certainly not a slow side.I do agree with the other points made and it would be great if those can be improved over time!
