Attention: New Forum in Progress

Unfortunately, our current forum software is causing us some problems, so we have decided to turn off the posting capabilities - for now. We decided to develop our very own forum to get it just right - and it will be up and running again towards the end of August.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Until the new forum is available, you can still browse and read the old forums, but unfortunately not post new messages.

Thank you so much for your patience!

Any problems when ftp uploading?
Posted in Crestock discussion on 2. February 2008 by trebuchet

Hi.
I have uploaded some images by the ftp as usual but when hit "process images" it gives me a lot of errors. Then the images go to the "describe" section but the exif data and the thumbnail is missing.

I cant remove the images manually from the ftp folder

When I try to upload new images, the same problem is applied to them.

Does anyone know whats happening?

I write this post because I asked for help 3 times to the Crestock support with no answer

RE: Any problems when ftp uploading?
Have you tried uploading the files using the single image upload function? Does the same problem occur when you try this?
What application did you use to add IPTC data to your files?

RE: Any problems when ftp uploading?
Our tech guys have taken a look at some of these files, and one problem seems to be that the keywords are not separated by commas, causing the upload system to read the keywords as a single keyword. Most applications require you to separate keywords either with commas or semicolons if you want them treated as separate words, it is quite likely that this will resolve your upload problem.
