I have mixed opinions about Wikipedia. I think it's a great thing that anyone can collaborate, but then this is also it's greatest weakness - we can't trust the information, as it can be innacurate or biased.

Personally, I LOVE Wikipedia. True, with anyone being able to contribute, the information can't always be trusted, but It looks like the people running it has a quite strict controll over what happens. I've seen several attempts at fake entries get removed within minutes. They have a whole crew of volunteers who monitor new entries, and remove any obvious lies, whilst dubious entrys are discussed at length in their discussion pages. I trust Wikipedia on most major subjects, in any case though, facts from Wikipedia should be checked with other sources.

I find myself reading Wikipedia entries for hours on end, usually some obscure part of world history. I love the semi-anarchist mentality of the whole Wikimedia project.
