I have mixed opinions about Wikipedia. I think it's a great thing that anyone can collaborate, but then this is also it's greatest weakness - we can't trust the information, as it can be innacurate or biased.

Personally, I LOVE Wikipedia. True, with anyone being able to contribute, the information can't always be trusted, but It looks like the people running it has a quite strict controll over what happens. I've seen several attempts at fake entries get removed within minutes. They have a whole crew of volunteers who monitor new entries, and remove any obvious lies, whilst dubious entrys are discussed at length in their discussion pages. I trust Wikipedia on most major subjects, in any case though, facts from Wikipedia should be checked with other sources.I find myself reading Wikipedia entries for hours on end, usually some obscure part of world history. I love the semi-anarchist mentality of the whole Wikimedia project.
