Attention: New Forum in Progress

Unfortunately, our current forum software is causing us some problems, so we have decided to turn off the posting capabilities - for now. We decided to develop our very own forum to get it just right - and it will be up and running again towards the end of May.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Until the new forum is available, you can still browse and read the old forums, but unfortunately not post new messages.

Thank you so much for your patience!

Correct f/stop

How do I get the correct f/stop when in and out of open shade areas and open sun areas?:ermm:

RE: Correct f/stop
I think you'd have to be using a light meter on the subject to get the right light readings, and then you'd set your camera accordingly. But if you're photographing things that are in a mix of light and shade, then you'd have to take a few pictures in different brackets, blend them together in post production, and whola! Me? I use filters to even out the contrast... usually.

However, your camera's internal light meter is usually sufficient. If not, then there might be some other issue. Could you tell me more?
