If you're using a digital SLR, you may have experienced the appearance of the mysterious dark blobs that are the tell-tale sign of sensor dust.
So what to do? Our sensor cleaning guide tackles the problem.

Hi,

Not sure where the original link was pointing, but here's a useful overview of different methods of DSLR sensor cleaning from Photocritic.

There's also a useful video guide from PhotoAnswers posted on YouTube.

Whatever you do, it's important to understand that there's a real risk of making the sensor more dusty rather than less dusty if this is not done correctly. You could also easily incur permanent damage on the sensor and/or the shutter if you are not careful.

If you don't have the right tools or skills for this job it is better to pay a professional technician a small(ish) fee to clean the sensor for you - it's cheaper than repairing a broken DSLR Smile
