I would like if is there any way to delete the rejected photos or to see why they were rejected and to repair them and submit again?
thank you.

Hi,
You should receive an email for every image that you get accepted or rejected, and if an image is rejected, this email should also have an explanation as to why it was not accepted.
At the moment we don't store the rejection reasons with the rejected images in your portfolio, but this is something we are working on implementing.
Rather than just deleting rejected images we keep a record of them, so that it is easy both for contributors and us to keep track of what they have submitted before. Just remember that the rejected images are only visible to the individual contributors, so other people can't see what images you have had rejected.

I got the following message from crestock after submitting my photo!

* Your choice of composition did not accord with our standards.

We invite you to address these concerns.

I recently had an image rejected for "visible photoshop editing". Well, so what if it is?....it's still a strong image. I don't believe that buyers will see much of the editing. Is it too much to ask to have the critique worded for corrections? Can I even upload again?...with correctioted images?

Hi Keith,

The image in question IS a very strong image, but I do believe that the sharp edges of the de-saturated selection would ruin the overall effect somewhat if it was reproduced large, say fullpage in a print magazine or newsletter.

This wouldn't be apparent from the small preview, so someone downloading the image for this purpose could find themselves facing at least an hour of tricky retouching, trying to soften the hard selection somewhat.

Applying a bit of feathering or a brush mask would only take a few seconds extra and would give a much more organic, natural feel to the image - in my opinion. An adjusted and re-submitted version would no doubt be accepted as the image is spot-on apart from this.

I just had 10 images rejected for lack of a model release. The problem is I have a model release on record and did attach it to these images. Is there a way to simply attach the model release, again, to these images. Am I really expected to reload these files again?

On a side note, it would be helpful in the tabs field under rejection that there was a number like the other tabs (pending, etc...) so images could be found easier.

Hi,
Custom means, that the inspector left another note with the rejections. There are some standard rejections, like out of focus, composition, etc. And then we have the possiblity to write a custom one.

If you are interested in a more detailed critic, don´t hesitate to post the image number and we will have a look at it. We are always glad when we can help ;-).

Happy Holidays!!!

hi everyone, i had 58 phots rejected today all saying do to "composition" EVERY one was different... i feel like this was a cop out by the person filtering through them to just get through them quickly.... doesn't seem realistic to me.... please advise

photo_graffitti: Most of those images were in fact rejected for missing model releases. If model releases are missing for images that require them, the reviewer will reject them without going on to check the files for further details such as technical quality etc.

For more information on model releases and how to attach them, please refer to our support pages: http://www.crestock.com/information-for-contributors.aspx

A handful of your images were rejected because of composition, mainly caused by distracting/messy backgrounds and incomplete elements/problematic cropping. We stand by our evaluation on those images.

The rejections can be found by looking in 'My upload folder', once logged in on Crestock. There is a tab labelled as 'Rejected'. Click on each image to see the rejection reason.

If you are logged in you are able to use this link:

Hi

Any other site like Crestock where we have a less rejection rate :-)

Mechite, there are lots of other stock sites that are much less picky than Crestock. Many of my images that were rejected here have been readily accepted on other sites. Unfortunately, it would not be right for me to list the sites here. I don't know how to pm you. But you can do a websearch for other stock sites.

Hi

I submit to 11 microstock agencies, and one Mid stock, and Crestock is the worst for rejections, I just got one rejected with the word "Custom" as the rejection reason, now what the hell does that mean?
