| | Hello, The Content License Agreement is not quite clear to me with respect to the follwowing case: I develop Wordpress themes which I promote/sell on my website using "dummy content". Is it legal to use a "Daily Free Image" as part of the content? I must mention that the content (i.e dummy posts) is NOT delivered with the theme code I sell but is used to promote it. Thanks. Lise |
| | Hi Lise, From how I understand that you wish to use the images, this would be perfectly ok. As long as you use them to promote your template via sample layouts with dummy content and images that you publish, but don't sell with the dummy content included, this will be within the terms of the licence. It would only be if you DO include this dummy content in the templates you sell that there would be problems. Technically speaking this would constitute re-sale/re-distribution of the images (even if they are only intended as placeholder images), which is not permitted by our licence. I hope that helps, The Crestock Team |
| | Hi Crestock Team, Thank you very much for the detailed and helpful reply. You answered my question very clearly. Lise |
| | I guess once you buy the images, its ok to use it to promote or use in your blog. |
