I have complained about this before, and for some time things were OK, but once again, the last reviewer who inspected something like 8 of my newest uploads, accepted most of the images but only at the Small size.

I strongly believe that some reviewers are playing it safe and accept only the small size. This is not only wrong, in my humble opinion, it also limits the sales potential of the images. I understand that some images can only be accepted in the small size, and I would not complain if some of them were, but all of them? This is going a bit too far.

Another problem I have is inconsistency with the sharpening issue. If I do not sharpen an image prior to uploading, then some reviewers are rejecting the images for being blurry, out of focus etc. If I sharpen the image, then some others reject it as over-filtered. I never sharpen my images, as I believe that the designers must be left to do their own sharpening and at the magnitude they so wish. Having said that, reviewers must understand this and be able to differentiate between an unsharpened image and an out of focus one. In many cases, images of mine were rejected as out of focus (they were only unsharpened) and when I sharpened them a bit, they were accepted. A few days later some other image which were sharpened at the same degree as the previous ones were rejected due to over-filtering, and when I uploaded them completely unsharpened, they were accepted. Go figure...

akarelis,

First, I've never noticed your images before and it was a pleasant surprise to check out some of your compositions, they're great.

Heres a couple of my favourites:

Spectacular, dramatic, and sharp enough.

As to the issue of resizing, I agree with you on the issue of not using too much sharpening, this is probably the best policy. On the images approved at the larger size, I couldn't find any problems with either focus or sharpening. But, as for the ones that were resized, I can only see them at their new size, where its difficult to tell.

I've written an explanation to the inspectors that for any of your future submissions, they should be very careful not to resize too many of these images as they are not sharpened.
