.

My dear dolgachov, what are you talking about, really???  -  I have nowhere tried to teach you (dolgachov) anything at all about photography!  On the contrary, I gave you a complement for your portfolio. What I did was giving Crestock a few suggestions. Plus making two general comment: that one can indeed get photos out of focus even with high end cameras like Canon 1ds MarkII, and that one can always learn more about photography from other photographers.

I have not tried to teach you (dolgachov) anything up till now, but now I will: Try actually to READ my posts before you get so upset and offended!

"THAT'S IT!" This topics officially dead! (hee hee hee) Sorry for the pun.

unfortunately though, it's distracted all of us from some salient issues: 1. consistency in acceptance of photos; 2 sales and buying. (I added #2, assuming that this is what we are all here for)

I didn't raise the issue of consistency, but it does seem very important as mentioned earlier (page one of this thread). Also, new blog tools and things is nice, but what's better is having people and companies who need images finding us, and finding what they want. I assure you, if I got more sales, then I'd be more encouraged and I'd be more inventive and creative to produce more variety. That's what'll help build my portfolio up (and yours), and perhaps have buyers coming back looking for what they need.

For us photographers, what Ihope to see, instead of discussions like this, is advice and compliments. I hope to get some feedback on my photos like "That cup of yours is a good idea, but you shouldn't have used natural light, but an umbrella", and stuff like, "wow!" or "not bad" and "how do I...?" I hope this is where our forum energies will go to. (hint hint: 'FAQ' and 'Digital Photography' forums)

I don't want to be mean, but I am apart of a few forums on photography and what not. I uploaded one of my best images where EVERYONE agreed that it was a very nice image. WELL it was rejected because it was "Out of focus" BS IT was NOT out of focus, in fact, it was one of those "perfect" images in my mind. THIS SITE is terrible and the people who "EVALUATE" our photo's must be BLIND! NEVER COMING BACK TO WASTE MY TIME AGAIN.

The person who posted here previously about their disapppointment over having the photo rejected for being out of focus would have perhaps appreciated reading the Crestock admin. post about earlier erroneous rejects because of "out of focus". I suppose it is too late for that person. However, this brings me to wonder-- would it be possible to allow some of those erroneous rejects which were not REALLY out of focus to be reviewed again? I know I had a few images on which the "out of focus" rejection made no sense, and in light of the recent evidence I wish they could be reviewed again. It was a shame to see good images that have sold well get rejected here, and I wish a couple of them had another chance at Crestock life!
