| | Hello, the following regards Adobe RGB files only. Why are the thumbnails converted to sRGB or probably some similar small colour space while the normal previews are not? When I look at my Adobe RGB pictures' thumbnails they are oversaturated, to the point of having artefacts that normally are not there, while the mouse-over previews of the same images look normal. Or is the thumbnail subject to some automatic colour adjustment? I adjust the colours of my Adobe RGB images so that they look fine on the web, but when the agency converts them to sRGB they get too much saturation and the hues change too. The thing is - when I convert to sRGB myself, I make sure that the result in the browser looks fine. When I upload to iStock where the thumbnails AND the previews are converted, I consider this and give them a version with less saturation. But here, the thumbnail is different from the preview; that means that as long as I'm not uploading sRGB files I've got this problem. I hate looking at my image thumbnails on Crestock, they just have this oversaturated low quality look. I hope this finds consideration, thank you. Regards - Smileus PS: some of my files are in sRGB, so in case you check it out, the problem doesn't apply to all my images. See for example image ID 1414124 or 1375881.

| | Maybe the thumbnails are not actually converted, but the colour management settings are not correct in some way. The same software behaviour can be seen in the Windows picture viewer when you view Adobe RGB images: they are very oversaturated. I hope you can do something about it, because the thumbnails look just wrong. And the fact that they look different from the previews makes the whole thing look unprofessional. At this point I wish to add that I really like Crestock's appearance; it would be nice to have this issue fixed. Thanks! |
