| | I have just created my new website and I am looking for a critique. If anyone has any feedback I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks so much Dan http://www.gestaltcreations.com |
| | Alright, here's my take on it. The design is clean and not offensive in any way, gives me a calm feeling. I like the bullet points - gives me a quick overview of what you can do. But, once I'm ready to dive into the site it strikes me that what I though was a main menu to read more about your services is in fact links to examples in your portfolio - this got me kinda confused. Personally, I would've created content sections for your different services to add a bit more meat to the bone. It could also help you driving more search engine traffic to your site. I noticed you used Charlotte, NC in your website's HTML title, and that's a very good thing! Reason is that it's most likely impossible for you to rank for just "web design" but you could stand a chance at ranking for "web design Charlotte" as your site matures and starts receiving links. And that will bring you customers ;) I would also reconsider some of the copy - remember the most important word is "you" Be personal, talk to the customer instead of "we do this" and "our company aims to..." etc. Your site is far from the worst I've seen, but tweaking the compy could have a huge impact on your conversion rates and in turn bottom line. Hope this helps! Sverre Sjøthun
