Why do I take pictures:
It bottles my memories life in the bush. The smells, the sounds and the sights. But mostly the atmosphere. Because the bush is where I am alive. Trips to the city are just to pay the rent.
When I don't photograph, I...:
Develop software (almost in the bush), observe wildlife (esp. birds), drink 'n eat, listen to/make music.
My favourite photographer, and why:
Daryl Balfour - for taking on Tshokwane and living to tell the tail. Seriously though, he's great (esp his elephants) but then so are Albert Froneman (great birds), Jill Sneesby and Nigel Dennis (both for their Kalahari shots) and Richard du Toit (no-one else has got leopard pictures he has).
The meaning of life, in my opinion:
Honesty, which is why I can't say what it is 'cause I haven't found it yet.
