Why do I take pictures:
To catch special moments that might never re-appear. A football player scoring a crucial goal, a drunk throwing a bottle at someone, a skier at the exact moment he crashes into the ground after a failed jump, etc.
When I don't photograph, I...:
Work at Crestock, study world history, and play football. I even sleep a bit every now and then.
My favourite photographer, and why:
In general, I've got a preferrence for good photojournalism, especially from war-zones, but no particular favourites. As a history-buff, I love the photos of Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii from pre-revolutionary Russia, all in beautiful colours.
The meaning of life, in my opinion:
Behave the way you know you should. Be happy unless you have very good reasons not to.
