This image is something of a middle-road between a real photo and a clear-cut illustration, it's got elements from both camps, though it's quite obvious that this is not real. The grass texture is of high quality, varied enough to look quite real, as opposed to many illustrations where the textures are simply cloned a hundred times over. What's so great with this image is that both the grass and sky looks like could have been real, but it's been put together intentionally in a way that makes it look unreal, resulting in a quite unique image, that is very easy on the eyes with it's relaxed colours and simplicity.
