Obviously the mechanically constructed planet was a VERY bad idea. The above image was created at 11"x17" 300 dpi. The engine block served as the innards of my planet, the provided city skyline was used for all of the skyscrapers and city buildings. I had to go find other images for the very low laying industrial sections and freeways on the lower right side. Also parts of the camera and car headlights were used for energy vents along the surface. And the sky photo was mixed in some behind the skyscrapers but ultimately was lost amongst the chaos of lighting.
