i respect the effor you put into the angles and composition, but I just dont feel that its "artistic" enough

Thanks for your comment, but fallacy, "artistic" are not a part of the rules. Did you read it?

"The winning entry will have incredible visual impact and exhibit fantastic creativity and technical skill, perhaps also with a twist of humor. Amaze us or make us laugh – or both. It's up to you and your skills, creativity and imagination, but whatever you do, don't miss out on the action!"..... and:

"The judges' votes will be based on the following criteria:
Overall Creativity and Concept
Creative adaptation of source images
Visual impact
Technical skills" So??

Artistry is always important, even if the judges don't openly say they're judging on it. An image that's not at all artistic just won't be as compelling to viewers. Not saying there's no art in this piece.

The technical aspects are relatively strong, and it's clear that work and effort went into it's creation.
