Ewwww. That comment above is disgusting. Why would you criticize these beautiful women? They look perfectly lovely to me (and everyone who visits my house and sees this picture on my wall). Knock off the judgment, eh?

loved this picture. writing from Germany, and must say roller skating babes is vintage chic and has been missing from our collective unconscious for a while. congratulations to this photographer for bringing back such firy moments with such quality and precision. Finally feeling the movement and the inspiration of 2007!

I was lucky enough to catch the Gotham Girls while they were still in the South Bronx, and can confirm that they are all absolutely hot. The women in this photo appear to be standing still, and the rink in the background is moving... the opposite of reality. Or is it? Watching the exciting match and crazy sideshow antics, is it not the audience that is taken for a ride?

What?!?!? The comment by Senor C Azul is ridiculous. If these women qualify as "oversized," I'd be interested in seeing his/her idea of "average." Take a self-check: realize that you have bought one too many Cosmo magazines and that the Kate Moss' of the world are actually mal-nourished, not average. May I present to you, Senor, what healthy, athletic women look like? Yes, take a look at "Roller Derby." I know; it's strange; you're not used to seeing them....
