The person in this image is from Lewis Hine's famous photo of a steamfitter in New York. Because the photo was taken in 1920, it is now in the public domain, so the contestant has not broken any copyright laws by re-using it in this way.

Nicely done. BUT...as one of the links above shows (but doesn't say), Hugh Syme, who does all of the Rush album artwork, was a big influence on this. Once again, here's a link to Hugh's interpretation of this famous "Working Man" photo:
