I would like to add that the main subject is abortion. I thought that a woman's choice is not always easy to make. The ovaries are precious eggs that contains a possible life form.. I know my image is not colorful, is not attention catcher at the first sight, it might even be repulsive, but it is a deep art.
You left me a comment about your entry
By lauramc on Monday, 17 December 2007 12:09 AM
I think this is really different from most of the others (in a good way), and I really like the way you executed it. I definitely think it deserves more votes than it has. People act like they only get one vote, but it seems that you can vote on as many pieces as you want, so I guess everyone's just being selfish. Anyway, beautiful creation!
By olliepee on Monday, 17 December 2007 12:10 AM
it would have been nice if you left a comment on mind rather than jsut point me to yours but thanks for drawing my attention to it anyway.. I didnt even spot your piece and ive been through them all numourous times..

I think its a fantastic piece of art. Congrats! Extremely unique amongst the shitty floating guitars and islands in this round...

By wiggyhoo on Monday, 17 December 2007 12:49 AM
Hi, I definitely think your art is worth looking at! It is great!!!
By j909 on Monday, 17 December 2007 1:23 AM
yoo Nestr ,

first of all thanks a lot for stopping by at my work page , tnx for your time , i really feel nice you asked my opinion , you are such a great artist , i think your work is a beautiful surreal piece , the only thing in my very personal opinion i see is that without the second graphic explaining where the things are coming from would be really hard to recognize one o f the pictures supliedd as a main element in your work , shure thats where surreal side is but that can be a little far of one of the main points judges are taking in count to qualify the works of all of us , im kind of picky and i always handle my own work this way , i always think theres something around to improve at some area , , anyway your work is great man and very very well realized , congratulations , i would like to get in contact with you after the contest pleaseee , thanks again Nestr and wish you the best amigo , you just got my only vote for this round ,,

best regards,
jorge (o;

sorry not working for me, the imagery is just not appealing nor is the execution free of mistakes or repeats.
I can say your tactic is interesting to lure people to vote for you.
By Nestr on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:36 AM
Not working for you which is fine.
By pandi on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:39 AM
Hey Nestr, thought I'd take the time to comment on your entry as you've requested so in my entry.

I think it looks ok. Kinda funny and quirky. The characters are done quite well but I feel that its the backdrop that lets it down a fair bit. Mainly the top it seems to not harmonize and show off the scene well it's too dirty and distracting. Though thats just my opinion.
By heirx on Monday, 17 December 2007 4:15 AM
Hi Nestr,
I think it's a very creative art, but it's more like your own personal deep art, it's a delightful image without your fine print. Nice work tho.
hey dude
By sideshowsito on Monday, 17 December 2007 6:10 AM
as per your request .... i dont think i would go as far calling it bullshit .. but its definetely interesting in an obscure, wierd way.

Truth is, the concept to me is quite confusing ... and rather abstract ( nothing wrong with it ) .. but its definetely interesting to look at !!

By Hoena on Monday, 17 December 2007 7:01 AM
Funny idea and nice concept, but I don’t like the colors!

If you think my image is worth looking at then please drop a comment saying: Cool
If you think it is not worth it then please don't hesitate to say: Bullshit.

Thanks for your time!

i am your 10th vote -- as this piece deserves it, and then some. i'd ask the same . . . seems us "middle of the road" entries (meaning only in vote totals) are getting lost amid the vote rigging going on. best of luck, to all of you.
By on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:14 PM
guess there's nothing in the rules against spam tactics, spammer.
By Osterhase on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:14 PM
...as far as I can remember, I've been the first one to vote for your picture... :o)
I really can't understand why it has only got 10 votes.
Well done, really!

Good luck!
By stugriffith on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:47 PM
Because so much time is spent debating in the entries that have 100+ votes, that an army of excellent entries are left on the shelf and never get seen. I've looked around the 5-15 votes entries and there are some REALLY good ones. Sad. I think CS should eliminate public voting next year. I mean, the top vote getter this year is good, but is it THAT good? Personally, I think the garden of eden piece with the apple television and the deteriorating hand is better . . .
By miteart on Monday, 17 December 2007 3:47 PM
I think it's great idea and exellent realisation (expect background, in my opinion this texture should be more dirty and underdone). In fact, your work is one of my favourites in this roud, becouse it's different, exceptional and very oryginal. Makes me fun and amaze... Good luck dude!! :)
By chariemania on Monday, 17 December 2007 5:52 PM
this is fucked up! I love it. good work.
By avezsehmee on Monday, 17 December 2007 6:15 PM
This image definitely conveys a lot of emotion to me. I think its a very unique entry. A lot of the stuff sent in to the competition is very cliche, so its nice to see a deviation from that.
A very weird, sci-fi, creepy entry that gets under your skin. Wish u the best!
By Dave on Monday, 17 December 2007 6:46 PM
yeah thanks for the spam ugh sry i mean comment
By Robee on Monday, 17 December 2007 7:50 PM
Great work.
By Becky on Monday, 17 December 2007 9:32 PM
stop plugging your work on other peoples message boards.... It's desperate and disrespectful. Let the viewer focus on the image in front of them, not be distracted by your link... you lose my vote almost solely for the annoyance.
By nestr on Monday, 17 December 2007 9:39 PM
Many people vote whored. Many top entries promoted their works on myspace and deviantart. I did not ask for votes, I only wanted to evaluate my work. Do you think that an artist would hesitate showing his work to another artist to have his opinion? I am confident about my work and I thought it was kinda buried. I respect my work highly and I won't let it down. I asked a yes or a bullshit. Isn't simple?
Alien execution
By Trukrebew on Monday, 17 December 2007 9:40 PM
Interesting execution. It looks very alien. But I agree with other comments regarding the background. If it were just flipped, with the dark at the bottom, the piece might be much stronger, in my opinion.
Thanks for your vote, even if it is at the expense of bullshit commentless spam.
make sure
By nestr on Monday, 17 December 2007 9:51 PM
I wanted to be sure that everyone who submitted an image would take a look at my entry. Whether he comments or not, that is his own choice which I highly respect.
By supergrover on Monday, 17 December 2007 11:29 PM
I like the idea. good work
By dschlosser on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 12:11 AM
I actually like this better than your 2nd round submission, i like how bizarre it is. I don't mind that the clouds look dirty, but they look too obvious...i think. great piece though.
By Jtriemsra on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 1:31 PM
A very creative use of the source elements.
Well Done!
By vjmcaninch on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 1:53 PM
People need to lighten up. I do like this but I would love to have seen it underwater!!!

If you think my image is worth a comment,
Then next time leave a comment.
If not, don't spam every other entry:

Thanks for your spam!

Your Comment
By jstudio on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 10:35 PM
Why would I take the time to comment on your work when you didn't comment on mine...just left spam. Nice, dude. I guess it generated commments on your entry, which was your goal....so what the hell.
you suck
By rilo on Tuesday, 18 December 2007 11:44 PM
stop spamming people.

and it is bullshit. no vote for you!
By nestr on Wednesday, 19 December 2007 1:39 AM
One last word:

There is a big difference between promoting my art and spamming. There is 40% decision made by public. Public on the internet doesn't take time to look and evaluate seriously. The public wants quick reaction, a quick pleasure made by an image that doesn't have real meaning. Like special effects on some movies that are there just because they are special effect. That is how the net works. I made the decision to send a message to all participants to understand better the impact of my image one the public. I have got my answer and I humbly accept it, but that doesn't mean that I agree.
By nevermind on Friday, 21 December 2007 1:50 PM
you are so lame spamming everyone. and btw your image is lame too.
By AliasOfTheWeek on Friday, 21 December 2007 6:42 PM
Here's your recognition...TRY to get over yourself. What you do isn't that far removed from 10,000 other digital artists. SERIOUSLY...

"did you see this one dear judges?"

"I mean it deserves a better recognition."

It got what it got and that's the end of it.
By WhoItIs on Friday, 21 December 2007 6:46 PM
It's one thing to do good work and be critical of yourself.
It's another to do good work in your eyes and get your knickers in a bunch just because other people don't see what you see.
You're too hyper-critical of other people's artistic tastes.
That does not make a good artist.
By no es bueno on Friday, 21 December 2007 6:47 PM
this is not good work.
To Borrow A Few Lines
By AliasAliasAlias on Friday, 21 December 2007 6:48 PM
I have seen the idea hundreds of time before. It is well done technically, but to me it is not creative enough to deserve the win.
By yoMama on Friday, 21 December 2007 6:51 PM
If you think my image
is worth looking at then drop a comment saying: Yes
If you think it is not worth it then say: Bullshit.
Thanks for your time

You would've made a bigger impact buying a billboard in Times Square.

What a hack.
By Friend of Crowned on Friday, 21 December 2007 8:12 PM
Good ol' ZEN. You never cease to amaze me with your self-indulgent bullshit. Dude, get a life. Stop thinking you're the be all that ends all when it comes to art. Not everyone enjoys your particular brand of creativity. Spamming everyone else for votes is just a sad cry for attention. If this was any good, it would have won. Personally I looked at the top 20, and ALL of them were better than this drek.
By nestr on Monday, 31 December 2007 9:00 AM
Cheers to all of those who participated because with them there will be not contest. Contest is a negative word in my opinion. I prefer the word co-petition to competition. I am glad to learn that I have to learn more and more. Happy new year to crestock.com staff and to every photochopper.
