Although isn't that picture of Snoop walking down the steps copyright material - on the winning wallpaper? I didn't see that picture among the "stock photos for round 1".
It seems like a shot from the music video.

I agree, except for #4 and #6 (for me the best of these selection) no other of these images deserve to be in this list. For God's sake. What a crappy list. For the 3rd. round I suggest you guys that want to win, to low your standards to the crappiest, as the jury appears to like that.

Great stuff - a lot of work and talent has gone into these.

Personal taste dictates I like some more then others, but I can still appreciate the work in all of them (and pity the miserable folk who don't have a nice word to say)

Also many of the winners can't even cut the photos correctly. Disagree. Check my work

it's my personal opinion first of all, i only liked the 3rd place, the first one, is first of all shooted from the video with bad quality, i think you should include a designer on your jury, but whatev :D congrats to the winner enjoy your prize :)

Don't agree with much of the typography, but the color in #4 and #6—incredible! Grats to all the winners.

looking back at the previous contests held here at crestoock, it would be hard to dispute the winners. in 2006 or 2007. the entries were excellent, certainly didnt lack any creativity. the standard of entries was of the highest quality. this contest is very poor. there were few creative entries into round 1, and the ones that actually were creative with the stock images, got no recognition at all. the judges in this contest clearly no nothing about design. i had to laugh in the rules where it states winners will be judged on 'design excellence'. admit it crestock, the winner was picked, not based on design excellence, simply what would fit snoopdogg.com best. and clearly having a screenshot from the new music video is whats proven to be popular. doesnt it state in the rules that copyrighted material must have permission. do we get a free ticket in this contest to use any image of snoop dogg we find on the internet? are contestants encourag not to be creative with the stock provided, but rather who can glamourise an image of snoop dogg best? this contest is nothing more than a poor publicity stunt. im a professional designer, i never entered this contest, i was weary of it from the start, and im glad i never. the wining design has been executed very poorly, the image of snoop walking down the stairs at full resolution is very low quality. the typography is very poor. the use of stock is un inventave, uncreative. the design in 2 place is the snoop dogg logo slapped ontop of the stock image!? this could have been made in MS paint. the design entry that placed 3rd is the only entry within the ones chosen that shows any sort of good technical skill from a designer. it lacks a little color tho and perhaps doesnt fit the theme. entry in 7th lace is laughable! where is the design excellence in this!? bevel and emboss on the text? gimme a break.

i agree with expert and others, all the images chosen, except number 4 and 6 are of a very low quality. Design excellence, they say... ok. I am a professional designer too and fortunately I did not entered on the contest too. In a second I can pick 10 images from round 1 submissions that were better designed than these. Amazing crap chosen.

The winner and most of the Top 10 are so basic, i cant understand the concept, wich is the most important thing.
I'm a profesional designer too, and i do entered on the contest, now i realize that this contest should be for fun, cause the things the judges analize to determine wich piece is the winner are soooo basic, like in school!

The only decent entry I see out of all of them is #10, he actually used some photoshop skill to do something. He didnt slap things together and call it done. Expert said it best.

This contest is a total joke, the judges obviously know nothing about design. I thought it would be good that there were judges deciding who wins, but I when you have judges that know nothing about design it doesnt really matter who picks.

"The judges' selections will be based on quality, creativity and design excellence." -apparently not.

I did participate in round #1 and I'm glad I didnt waste my time with the other two rounds.

design is so subjective - congrats to the winners! I still had fun designing my entry, but I guess that one was a waste of time of me :P

Change the jury. Get someone who's into design to decide who's the best. There are many good designs which are left in shadow. Crestock is anything but Creative.

listen guys.. don't hate.. granted.. some of these winners aren't the greatest of designs.. but designs are designs.. everyone has their own opinions.. and for some of you guys who say you are professional designers.. i hope you guys don't work with type much because you guys can't spell for your lives. I'm a graphic designer as well.. but i'm not gonna hate on these.. even thoough some didn't go along with the rules. :/
